I am an Adelaide based portrait photographer, specializing in wedding and family photography.
I have always dappled in the arts and initially used my own photos (taken by my trusty aim and shoot Pentax) simply as a base for the paintings I did. Later my desire to capture our own four gorgeous children lead me to pick up my husband’s DSLR for the first time in 2010. After several hits and misses, numerous online courses, several free shoots for family and friends, and lots of encouragement from my husband, I established Just Believe Photography in 2016. Shortly after establishing my business I completed my formal training as Professional Photographer at the New York Institute of Photography. My love for happily-ever-afters prompted me to complete a follow up course in Wedding Photography.
Since I started out I have captured numerous newborns, children, families, several weddings as second shooter, and over 70 weddings as main photographer. I am constantly doing additional courses to master new techniques. To name a few: Meg Bitton Live's Newborn Studio, Kelly Brown's Newborn Photography Bootcamp, Pye Jirsa's Working with Flash, Lindsay Adler's Posing Couples, Weddings and Families and Mike Fulton's Mastering TTL Flash. And even in my free time I love to play around with my camera and experiment in Photoshop, creating fantasy images of our own children that portray the wonder and magic of life.
In 2019 I was both a Local Round Winner as well as a Country Round Winner in the International Wedding Awards and I was awarded a Five Star Award by Easy Weddings. In 2020 I became a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. In 2020 I was once again a Local Round Winner in the International Wedding Awards, and received another Five Star award from Easy Weddings. I also received a Bronze Award for Baby Photography in the 2020 Rise International Photography Awards.
I believe that every person is beautiful and unique, and this is how I want to portray my clients - whether they are perfect little babies, expecting mums and dads, or couples crazily in love with each other. There are moments in life, like a wedding, or the addition of a new baby to a family, that should be captured to preserve those memories for ever.
